Without getting too philosophical, when you close your eyes and imagine a spa pool, what do you see? The mind’s eye will usually go one of two ways, either envisaging a tranquil escape, or a place for laughter and fun. If you find yourself in the second category, let us introduce you to the Monterey. This is a spa pool built to host seven in luxury and style, but that, as part of the entry-level Freeflow range, also manages to keep the numbers on the price tag as low as possible.

A prime number of seats
No spa pool in the Hot Spring range boasts more seats than the seven found in the Monterey. This spa pool is built to party, with four jet-lined bucket seats interspersed by three cool down benches, all of which cascade into the deep and jet-lined central footwell. By evenly spacing guests around the perimeter, the Monterey encourages conversation, allowing everyone to see and speak to everyone else.
22 jets in all are found within a spa pool that measures 221 x 196 x 86cm, generating a relaxing and soothing yet perfectly vibrant atmosphere inside the tub. The integrated, closable chilly bin, found on one side of the unit, also hints at the intent of this model (keeping every healthy and hydrated, obviously.)
Plug-N-Play: the easy way
Seven-seater spa pools are usually cumbersome, power-hungry beasts, requiring specialised wiring, endless space and super-strong foundations in order to be installed. Then there’s the Monterey.
Featuring Plug-N-Play technology, installation of this spa pool is 100% tradesperson-free. The Monterey can be set up easily and in quick time - just position it in the preferred spot, fill it with water from a hose, plug it into a standard 230V outlet, set the temperature on the side of the unit, and wait for it to warm. Once it’s nice and toasty, you’ll be ready for your first soak!
The unibody: simply strong
The key to the affordability of Hot Spring’s Freeflow collection is in the production method. Like the other models in the family, the Monterey is made using roto-moulding - a technique that creates a spa pool out of a single piece of robust plastic.
Not only is it a more efficient way to make a spa, roto-moulding actually produces an incredibly strong one-piece body. This means that the Monterey is built to last every bit as long as the higher-end models of the Hot Spring range, but at a lower price point. Add in full foam insulation to keep more heat in, and you have one of the most cost-effective spas on the market!
